“For me, animation is tied to the idea of truth, just by the gesture and the animator’s and illustrator’s touch. It lets you speak to a wider audience, real people out there who can find their way to it and be impacted in ways that are personal. ANimation i agnostic. It’s universal.”
His recent film ‘Grounded’ has seen global recognition as part of Google’s Black-Owned Friday campaign, being the winner of two Andy awards, a Webby People’s Voice, a silver Clio and just recently named as Campaign Live’s ‘Most Purposeful Campaign of the Year’. His project for Facebook’s celebration of Latinx & Hispanic Heritage Month also saw global recognition and allowed Kris to work with his motivations of uplifting & sharing the stories of his community. He is equally comfortable with cel animation, stop-motion, bricolage, and designing by hand or digitally. Kris always has something to offer and his innovative work always raises the bar for visual achievement.
