The Amazing World of Gumball
Luca Schenato served as Background Supervisor on six episodes of Season 5 of the hit Cartoon Network show The Amazing World of Gumball. In this role, he oversaw the visual development of the background environments, ensuring stylistic consistency with the established look of the series.
Working with a team of artists, he supervised the creation of background setups that combined 3D rendering and photographic elements, maintaining the distinctive mixed-media aesthetic of the show. These environments were then prepared for the compositing, where the final scenes integrated the 2D characters within the layered background worlds.
Gumball, a twelve-year-old boy who happens to be a blue cat with a giant head and his best buddy Darwin, a pet goldfish who sprouted legs, bring hilarity and hijinks in Cartoon Network's comedy series, The Amazing World of Gumball. The BAFTA award-winning series tells the story of an extra-ordinary suburban family who just happen to live in an ordinary town.Â
