The talent of this duo lies in their creativity and ability to evoke emotions. With a strong emphasis on character design, they are able to tell stories with incredible visual skills. They’ve directed outstanding commercials for Volvo, Adidas, Navman, Mars, Hozelock and EE, and their short film “Sea Stars” for WWF won a bronze Cannes Lion in Branded Content & Entertainment for Original Use of Music.
Pierre and Bertrand have been working together since 2004. That year saw them make their award winning short film “True Color”, awarded by numerous animation festivals worldwide – Monaco IMAGINA , SICAF Séoul, SIGGRAPH, MUNDOS DIGITALES Spain, EMAGICIENS France and more – until it was picked up by top French film channel, Canal+. Their first collaboration with Not To Scale for Nickelodeon Jr saw them win an international Promax Gold Award and a BAFTA nomination for Best Short Film. Their short film “La Détente”, was shown at Cannes Film Festival, and many other festivals worldwide and scooped the prestigious Best Animation Award at the Rushes Awards. As Head of Animation for the Academy Award nominated film for Netflix, “I Lost My Body” (J’ai perdu mon corps), Pierre attended the Oscars in 2019.
